Teams
A team gives a group of members its own tier and system instruction. Members pick the team in their client, and requests made from it use the team's models and limits.
How teams work
Teams live inside an organization. A member can belong to several teams and still make requests without one. When a client sends a request for a team, the gateway checks the person belongs to the team in the selected organization, then applies:
| Setting | Effect on requests made from the team |
|---|---|
| Tier | The member's own override in the team if set, otherwise the team's tier, otherwise the person's usual tier in the organization. See Tiers and limits. |
| Team instruction | Text added to the start of the system prompt of every request made from the team. |
| Per-model RL overrides | Request limits for one member that replace the tier's limits for that member in this team. |
Usage from a team is counted separately from the person's own usage, so a team has its own rate-limit and budget windows.
Use a team (members)
Open My Teams from My account to see the teams you belong to, each with its tier, rate limits and models. Select the ID under a team name to copy it. Then choose the team in LatentCode or LatentWork; see LatentCode and LatentWork. Your admin adds you to teams; you get an email when they do.
Manage teams
Open Teams from the Administration group. Each card shows the team's tier and member count, a Manage members button, and a ⋮ menu with Limits & usage, Manage members, Edit, Reset rate limits and Delete team.
Create a team
- 1Select New team
At the top right of the Teams page.
- 2Fill in the form
See the field reference below. Only Name is required.
- 3Select Create team
Then add members.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Required and unique within the organization. |
| Description | Optional. |
| Tier (allowed models + rate limits) | A tier from this organization. Default tier means no team tier: each member uses their own tier. |
| Team instruction (system prompt) | Optional. Added to the start of the system prompt of every request made from this team, for example rules or context specific to the team's work. |
Add and manage members
- 1Open Manage members
On the team's card.
- 2Find the person
Type in Search users to add…. Only members of the organization can be added; current team members are marked Member.
- 3Choose a tier
Leave Team tier to use the team's tier, or pick a tier override for this person.
- 4Select Add
The person is emailed that they were added.
Each row in the member list has:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tier menu | Change the member's tier override, or set it back to Team tier. |
| Sliders icon | Opens RL overrides: per-model request limits for this member only, per minute, hour, 6 hours and day. 0 keeps the tier's limit. Select Save overrides. |
| Gauge icon | Resets this member's current request and budget windows in this team. |
| Trash icon | Removes the member from the team (not from the organization). |
Reset team RLs at the top of the dialog resets every member's windows in the team at once. Limits themselves don't change.
Troubleshooting
403 "You are not a member of this project"
The client selected a team the person doesn't belong to. Add them on the Teams page, or pick another team in the client.
403 "This team is not available in the selected organization"
The team belongs to a different organization from the one the client selected. Switch the client's organization.
"A team with this name already exists"
Team names must be unique within an organization.
A person doesn't appear when adding members
Only members of the active organization can join its teams. Add or invite them to the organization first.
