Sign in and your account

Create an account, sign in, reset a forgotten password, and manage your profile, password and API key.

Create an account

Anyone can create an account from the sign-up page. You don't need an organization first: you create or join one after signing in. If an administrator added you, you already have an account; see Accounts created by an administrator.

  1. 1
    Open the sign-up page

Go to /signup, or select Sign up on the sign-in page.

  2. 2
    Fill in the form

Enter your Name, Email and a Password of at least 8 characters.

  3. 3
    Select Create account

You're signed in and taken to Organizations, where you can create an organization or join one. Your account gets an API key straight away.

Your administrator may have set things up so you join an organization automatically. In that case you land in that organization as soon as you sign up.

Signing up from an invite

If you open an organization invite link without an account, select Create an account to join. After you create the account with the invited email address, you join the organization automatically. See Accept an invite.

  1. 1
    Open the sign-in page

    Go to /login.

  2. 2
    Enter your email and password

    Then select Sign in.

Platform admins land on the Overview dashboard. Everyone else lands on Organizations. A sign-in lasts 8 hours; after that, or if your session ends early, you're returned to the sign-in page.

To sign out, open the account menu at the top right and select Log out, then confirm. Logging out doesn't affect your API key: LatentCode, LatentWork and your scripts keep working.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. 1
    Request a code

On the sign-in page select Forgot password?, enter your Email and select Send reset code.

  2. 2
    Enter the code

Type the 6-digit Verification code from the email. The code is valid for 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, select Resend code (available after 30 seconds).

  3. 3
    Choose a new password

Enter a New password of at least 8 characters, repeat it in Confirm password, and select Update password. You're returned to the sign-in page.

For privacy, the page shows the same message whether or not an account exists for the address. After 5 incorrect codes the code is cancelled and you need to request a new one.

Your account page

Open the account menu at the top right and select Account settings, or go to /account. The page has these cards:

CardWhat it does
ProfileShows your Email, Name, Role (Admin for platform admins, otherwise User) and your Tier in the active organization. Select Edit profile to change your name or email.
API KeyShows your key masked, with show, copy and Regenerate controls.
One-paste setupSelect Copy setup prompt to copy instructions that install and configure LatentCode and LatentWork with your key. Paste them into a terminal AI agent such as Claude Code. Preview prompt shows the text first.
Change passwordChange your password.
Product TourSelect Start tour or Replay tour for a guided walkthrough of the console.

Edit your profile

  1. 1
    Select Edit profile

    On the Profile card.

  2. 2
    Change Name or Email

The email is also your sign-in email. It must be a valid address that no other account uses.

  3. 3
    Select Save

Use your new email the next time you sign in.

Change your password

  1. 1
    Open Change password

Select the Change password card to expand it.

  2. 2
    Fill in the form

Enter your Current password, a New password of at least 8 characters, and repeat it in Confirm new password.

  3. 3
    Select Update password

    Your current sign-in stays active.

Your API key

Your API key starts with ls-. It identifies you to the LatentStack gateway from LatentCode, LatentWork and the Agents API, sent as Authorization: Bearer <key>.

View and copy

On the API Key card, select the eye icon to show the full key and Copy to copy it. Your key is always available here; you don't need to save it anywhere else.

Rotate (regenerate) your key

  1. 1
    Select Regenerate

On the API Key card. If you don't have a key yet, the button is Generate API key.

  2. 2
    Confirm

The old key stops working immediately and the new one is shown.

  3. 3
    Update your clients

Paste the new key into LatentCode, LatentWork and any scripts that used the old one.

Regenerating breaks existing clients
Every client using the old key gets 401 Invalid API key until you give it the new key. Regenerate only when the key may have leaked, or when you're ready to update every client.

Your key and organizations

You have one key, whatever organizations you belong to. Select the organization in LatentCode or LatentWork; its tier, limits and credits apply.

Accounts created by an administrator

An organization admin can create your account for you. You're then a member of their organization, with a random password and an API key. Depending on how they created it:

  • You receive a welcome email with a temporary password, your API key and the gateway base URL. Sign in with the temporary password, then change it on your account page.
  • If you didn't get an email, ask the admin for your credentials, or set your own password with Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

Troubleshooting

I was sent back to the sign-in page

Sign-ins last 8 hours. Sign in again. Your API key isn't affected.

"An account with this email already exists"

Sign in instead, or reset your password with Forgot password?.

"Too many sign-up attempts from this network"

Sign-ups are rate limited per network. Wait a few minutes and try again.

"Code expired or invalid" or "Too many incorrect attempts"

Request a new code from Forgot password?. Only the most recent code works, for 10 minutes.

My clients stopped working with 401 Invalid API key

The key was regenerated, from your account page or by you in another browser. Copy the current key from the API Key card into each client.
